is to grow as brothers and sisters in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ while witnessing for Him to our families, friends and community.
What We Believe
- We believe that the Bible in its entirety is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth." (John 17:17) "All Scripture is breathed out by God." (2 Timothy 3:16)
- We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19, 20) "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all." (2 Corinthians 13:14) Jesus said, "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)
- We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, is true God and true man but without sin; that he died on the cross for sinners but rose to life on the third day. "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
- We believe that all people are by nature sinners and in need of forgiveness. "For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
- We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the whole world, to bring us forgiveness and peace with God. "He is the payment for our sins, and not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:2 GOD'S WORD®)
- We believe that through Jesus Christ we have the free gift of eternal life. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
- We believe that we are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ and his saving work. "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8, 9)
- We believe the Holy Spirit calls us to faith through the Gospel and keeps us in the one true faith. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." (Romans 1:16) "Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says 'Jesus is accursed!' and no one can say 'Jesus is Lord' except in the Holy Spirit." (1 Corinthians 12:3)
- We believe that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, together with the Word of God, are true means of grace through which God works to instill and strengthen faith. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19, 20) "Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, 'Take, eat; this is my body.' And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, 'Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'" (Matthew 26:26-28)
